The class of 1948

This is not a team with the greatest and most known players. But it has its charm with players like Panenka and Bowles with some good stories to tell. Clemence, Schwarzenbeck and Haan who wasn't the biggest names but won a lot and played a part in the great Liverpool, Bayern and Ajax sides of the 70's.
Also this year has Jardine and Brooking who both has a stand named after them at Rangers and West Ham.

GK: Ray Clemence; 5x English champion and 3x European champion with Liverpool, where he was a part of the great team in the 70's. He later went to Tottenham where he won the FA Cup and the Uefa Cup. He made over 1000 career appearances. One of the greatest english keepers of all-time.
RB: Sandy Jardine; 3x Scottish champion and winner of the UEFA Cup winners cup. Jardine was a quick and strong player. On 16 July 2014 Rangers announced that the club will pay a lasting tribute to Jardine by changing the name of the Govan Stand to the Sandy Jardine Stand.
CM: Antonin Panenka; won the 1976 European Championship with Czechoslovakia. In the final against Germany, he scored the winning penalty in the shootout with a softly-chipped ball up the middle of the goal as the goalkeeper dived away. This style of penalty is now called "a Panenka"
